The 4th phase of WoW Classic went online on April 16th, and the player numbers increased. This led to long queues that proved more difficult than expected.
The reintroduction on 18 WoW Classic servers of layering technology has brought many questions from the community to the surface. For example, how do the World Boss timers and layering technology work? Kaivax, the Community Manager, has answered that question.
How does World Boss layering work?
Kaivax, the Community Manager, discusses the new spawn behavior for World Bosses in WoW Classic (buy now 24,99 EUR). Each layer has its own spawn timer making it difficult for layer hoppers not to kill the same boss again.
Below is the original statement from Kaivax, community manager.
Each layer has its own spawn timer.
This means that if Kazzak or Azuregos decides spawn on one layer it doesn't affect any other layer. This way, a dominant guild won't kill him and then layer-hops to kill him again.
Each layer also has its own track for the Dragons of Nightmare. When it is time, all four dragons will spawn on a single layer.
The fishing tournament is not the same. It is tracked worldwide and there will be only one winner for each realm.
